I wrote a 1700 word essay today.....

addressed to a family member and it's not so nice.

This person has infuriated me time and time again. Not only have they made me angry, but they have been a major let down to others in my life. If you know me, I am fiercely protective of my loved ones...especially my children. No one will ever disappoint them. I won't allow it. They have so many people in their lives that love them. They won't miss this person.

I was going to email the letter, but I think I am going to mail it...registered mail...just to make certain that I get my point across.

Time flies when you're having....fun?

The last couple of weeks have been very busy for us. We celebrated Ethan's first birthday, Ethan had his first trip to the beach and we celebrated my sister-in-laws 21st brithday with a casino trip to Louisiana. I can't even remember my 21st birthday, but that is another post for another day!

Emmeline is busy wrapping up the end of the school year and summer fever is starting to set in. We drive past the neighborhood pool and you can just see her start to drool. She has always been a water baby and every year, around this time, she starts getting her swimsuits together. By the way, as she gets bigger, I am noticing that the swimsuits are getting smaller....oh, to have a figure like hers again....again? I NEVER looked like that. I wore size 12 husky jeans from 3rd grade on...Toughskins...remember those? They had extra reinforcements on the knees because I was all over the playground back then.
Anyhoo...Ethan's first beach trip was great. He loved every minute of it. My MIL remembers taking Nick to the beach when he was about that age and he ate the sand. Needless to say, Ethan did the same...fistful like he hadn't eaten all day!

Like I said we are busy. Our weeks are filled with school and work. I am at home with Ethan. After Nick heads off to work and Em off to school, Ethan and I play. He is roaming around the house and easily walks to Em's room 20 times a day to look for her. Their interactions are so much fun to watch and they completely adore each other.
Well, I would like to think that the next few weeks will allow us some down time, but I serioulsy doubt it. Life goes on and everything around us is constantly changing. My youngest sister-in-law will be graduating in a few weeks (Go Susan!) and we are trying to get everyone together for a family picture.
It's late and the house is finally quiet. My children are sleeping peacefully in their beds....all is right with the world. By the way...I am having fun!

Happy Birthday Ethan Bryce!

Ethan's first birthday was such a special day for our family. He is such a blessing and has been such a joy the past year. He makes you smile with his infectious grin! Nick and I decided to have the party at Chuck E. Cheese...yes, he's a little young, but the "no fuss, no muss" idea was very appealing. There are more pictures here. The cake was slightly larger than expected...my mom made everyone take home extra. Actually, every person in Chuck E. Cheese could have taken home some cake and we still would have had plenty! Thank you to everyone that put Ethan first and came out to celebrate his birthday!
